Its that song in NHL 06 you'd expect when you see that opening menu pop up, its just a fantastic 13. Its fast, catchy and gives you that opening puck drop feel.
Let me clarify, I think this band is major ass - but this song is rad as hell.

Its once again got one of those eerie vibes towards the end that turns in to a fantastic mix of vocals.ġ5) The Running Free - Coheed And Cambria (NHL 09) But my goodness, its so damn incredible it makes me want to go out and start my own alternative electronic band. This is hands down the most out of place song in any hockey game from this time. If you've never heard this song - do yourself a favor. Back in 2008 EA really had some great unheard of picks.ġ6) Compliment Each Other Like Colors - PlayRadioPlay! (NHL 08) Its really unfortunate that this band never really had anything else on any NHL games. Its smooth all the way through and then gives off a real spacious and lost feeling towards the end. One of the most underrated bands and songs in any video game ever. This song is a nice break from the meaningful and powerful NHL jam and adds a rhythm thats fun and upbeat.ġ7) Turn Up The Radio - Jupiter One (NHL 08) One of the funkiest songs to ever make it on an NHL game. This is still the ultimate sad boy jam, just not for MY list. I do feel like it was great for NHL to grab this song and smack it on NHL 2002, but as the years have gone on - I feel like other songs deserve more credit. Trust me, its played at EVERY single white person party I've ever been at. Its energetic and moody, but easy to get caught up in quickly.īefore I get a ton of hate - I love this song. The lyrics are incredible, the vocalist is incredible. This song has so much emotion and a simple but strainful beat. Honestly knew that years from 12 this song would still be many people's favorites out of 12. But this song in NHL 17 was the best song on an EA soundtrack that I had heard in years. This is rare - you're not going to see many of the newer games on this list, if any at all. That song you needed for game 7 in OT to win the cup. I did my best to choose the tracks that I thought encapsulated and emphasized the fun and emotion these NHL games brought. So here it is, my personal top 25 NHL tracks. Getting my list down to 25 was hard, but I felt like I could do it. These soundtracks are some of the best in sports and I'm biased as hell but they really do have a fantastic mix of a bunch of genres - from punk, rock, nu metal, metalcore, classic rock, electronic, indie, imo goes hand in hand with Fifa soundtracks and the Tony Hawk games.
Some of their best and most enjoyable songs include Alligator, Wolves Without Teeth, Dirty Paws and – especially – King And Lionheart.I had the urge to make this list. Motionless In White are an incredible band with songs you absolutely must check out such as Disguise and Eternally Yours, whereas Silversun Pickups have a more relaxing sound with the likes of Lazy Eye and Circadian Rhythm.Īside from the aforementioned acts, Of Monsters And Men are another stellar artist included in the NHL 20 soundtrack list. Bands such as Arch Enemy, Borknagar and Lacuna Coil would have been welcomed from a personal wishlist point-of-view, but the soundtrack does include a lot of other good groups such as Motionless In White and Silversun Pickups.
